Fall 2009

I have had some trouble keeping my blog updated but I will try to do better! Here's some of what we have been up to this fall. Enjoy!

1st Day of School 2009

Today was the first day of school here in Spokane. Carson is in kindergarten and Avery 2nd grade. I can't believe how big they are getting! They were both excited today to head back to school, and I must admit, so was I! It's great having summer and being able to sleep in and do basically whatever we want, but they get along with each other (and with me) better when we don't spend every moment together. I heard much of the same from the other parents this morning! Yeah for school!

Annual Lake Pend O'rielle Vacation

Every summer we head to Lake Pend O'rielle in North Idaho for over a week of sun and fun. The first week we spent with my Mom, Uncle Paul, Justin and Lacey. We boated, swam, sat by the fire at night, went to the Festival at Sandpoint, and went for a ski lift ride and hike on Schwietzer Mountain. Then our friends Marlene and Rick and their 2 girls came over from Portland for the second weekend. Our other friends Vanessa and Nick and their 4 kids came for the day. Again we boated, swam, and had a great time catching up.

Summer 2009

Just some of the highlights of the Summer of 2009.... boating, camping, trips to Silverwood Theme Park and the local water park. We had a very nice summer but Fall is on it's way!

4th of July 2009: Salmon, Idaho

We headed to Salmon for the 4th of July and Tim's 20 year high school reunion. Here's some highlights from the trip.

Both kids had a great time riding Scooter and Jack with Papa Bob. It still amazes me that this is where Tim grew up, so different from where we live now!

School's Out.....Summer's here!

School ended on June 17th (thanks 100 feet of snow for the 5 make-up days...). Here are some pictures from the last few weeks: Avery had a presentation (Powerpoint....in the 1st grade!) on butterflies, Carson had his preschool graduation, T-ball started for Carson, we went to a neighborhood last day of school party, and the kids had a week of Vacation Bible School. Should be a great summer!
